The Idle Mole garden centre is due to open on 26 May 2018 at the new Engine Yard Retail park at Belvoir Castle.

Independently-owned & managed by Trudy Orme who has over 12 years’ retail experience under her belt earned at Hollybeck Garden Centre in Southwell. They can provide friendly, knowledgeable advice and quality products that won’t break the bank.

The garden centre will be stocked with all your favourite, English-grown plants, trees & shrubs, plus gardening essentials. The perfect stop for gifts, accessories & gift vouchers.

Coming later this year will be the Idle Mole Gardening School offering ranges of workshops for all levels of experience.

They will also be recruiting 2 members of staff to work in the garden centre with retail experience and gardening knowledge.

There is a plant sales area attached to the Tea Room which offers approximately 200 different species of native wildflowers in 9cm pots; additionally there are herbs, cottage garden plants, roses and climbers available. If you require plug plants then again prior arrangement is required.

At the bottom of the wildlife garden there is a further sales area offering pond & marginal plants including native lilies and separately native trees in 5 and 10 litre pots.

The wildflower garden is about 3 acres in size, with a further 40 acres of wildflower fields on site which are crops grown for seed production.

Other facilities on site include a children’s play area and 2 wildlife ponds. There is wheelchair access to the Tea Room via ramps on 2 sides, however regretfully there are no disabled toilets. Dog are allowed as long as they are kept on a leash.
