The Idle Mole garden centre opened on 5 May 2018 at the new Engine Yard Retail Park at Belvoir Castle.

The Idle Mole web site is a showcase of everything we love about gardening, our aim is to let you create amazing garden spaces with minimum effort. The idea is we do all the leg work, looking for truly beautiful, quality products to add those extra special touches to your outside spaces.

We are passionate about plants and only use the best quality growers for our extensive range. We have a wealth of knowledge to help you pick the perfect plant for every aspect of your garden, stocking fancy perennials, David Austin Roses and Blackmore Trees to name but a few.

Independently-owned & managed by Trudy Orme who has over 12 years’ retail experience under her belt earned at Hollybeck Garden Centre in Southwell. They can provide friendly, knowledgeable advice and quality products that won’t break the bank.

We make for a great destination as our garden centre is situated in the grounds of Belvoir Castle overlooking the stunning Vale of Belvoir. Take a look around the castle and gardens then enjoy some retail therapy at the Engine Yard Retail Village officially opened on 2nd September 2018. Have a latte at the castle garden coffee shop, explore the amazing fresh produce at the farm shop, or browse in one of the other quality retail outlets. Don't forget to call in and give us a big hello too!!!

They will also be recruiting 2 members of staff to work in the garden centre with retail experience and gardening knowledge.
