Belvoir Lakes
The lakes at Belvoir are comprised of two waters; a 12 acre lake known as the Lower Lake and the Small Lake which is ¼ of an acre. The waters are typical estate lakes shallow and silty with a variety of features for the angler to fish to including islands, streambeds fallen trees, bloodworm beds and waterfalls.

Belvoir Lakes is managed as a mixed fishery containing carp to 30lbs, bream to 14lbs, perch to 4lbs, pike to 25lbs, roach to 2lbs and tench to 8lbs. At present the lower lake contains up to 500 carp to 30lbs with the average weight being mid to upper doubles. The fish are young stock and are growing well this year we have had a good number of twenties and mid twenties out. The lake has a number of strains of carp including our scaly fish and the lake will produce some awesome fish in the future.

Knipton Reservoir is in a stunning location on the Belvoir Estate The reservoir covers an area of 40 acres and is surrounded by mature woodland.

Knipton Reservoir
Offers peace, tranquility, and fantastic surroundings in which to fish. The aim has been to create a water where you can get away from the world have plenty of choice where to fish and catch some stunning English fish. There are no main roads, railway lines, flight paths, power lines or street lights to detract from the fishing, just peace and quiet. The only thing that may disturb you is the wealth of wildlife surrounding the reservoir. The reservoir is accessed via a private gated lane and secure parking is provided adjacent to the reservoir. There is a small lodge for use by the members and boats are available to reach the more remote parts of the reservoir. There are 20 swims designed to offer comfort whilst fishing in natural surroundings. An ongoing planting and tree management scheme will enhance the swims and create features/holding areas.

The reservoir has been stocked with 450 fish of a variety of strains including AJS Scaley carp, Leaney descendants, Fishers pond fish and the existing Belvoir fish. The majority have been young fish with plenty of potential and growth rates have remained steady over the last few years. The water now contains in excess of 200 twenties. In addition to the carp the reservoir contains a good head of bream (15lb), perch(3lb), pike(39lb) and roach (2lb+). Fishing at Knipton is great, the reservoir offers every type of carp fishing from distance work to marginal stalking. The fish respond well to prebaiting with quality bait and large multiple catches are regular. The one big advantage of Knipton is that it is a brilliant winter water unlike many other carp fisheries. The lake has produced 15 fish to one angler in the snow one February morning… truly awesome winter fishing.

Memorial Lakes
Following extensive renovations on the estate, the Belvoir Memorial Fishing lakes are finally open to the public.  The lakes were originally conceived by Capability Brown over 200 years ago and his plans have just been finally realised.

The lakes have been stocked with 300 stunning Belleau Bridge Rainbows between 1.5 and 5 lbs.

The views from the lakes of the Castle are incredible and the location and setting is both peaceful and sublime.
