Bottesford lies peacefully and conveniently in the Vale of Belvoir, in a location of natural beauty. It’s close proximity to Belvoir Castle makes it the ideal base to explore the local area.
There are beautiful views in all directions and with only three Shepherd huts, each strategically placed, our guests can enjoy privacy as well as peace and quiet. Each hut has been handcrafted to our own design and offers absolute luxury with en-suite shower rooms, double beds, flat screen TV’s, wood burning stoves, underfloor heating and fully fitted kitchens. Outdoors you can take advantage of the stunning views or beautiful night skies whilst relaxing in your own private, wood-fired Hot Tub.

Perfect for birthday parties and special occasions or holidaying with friends and family at Shepherd’s Lodge, we also have a lovely, covered summer house, the “Duck Inn”, for guests to use. Kitted out with a dining table & benches, comfortable seating, hammocks, swing chairs and, of course, a bar area with a fridge to keep your drinks cool. It really is a perfect place to relax, for entertaining and enjoying your favourite tipple around the lake.
There are also two stables on site, so our Shepherd hut guests are welcome to bring a horse if they wish and bike storage is also available for our cyclist guests. Stables and bike storage should be booked in advance if required.
All guests will receive a welcome pack on their arrival which contains tea, coffee, sugar, milk and orange juice. One bag of wood will be supplied for the log burner and one for the Hot Tub. Further bags can be purchased on site if required.

“What can we say” – hut was lovely very clean it was perfect for what we wanted Absolute gem, everything thought of from coffee and tea to shower gel fresh milk and orange juice all amenities explained in a booklet which was very helpful enjoyed the fire which kept us nice & warm in frosty January Location was great!

We had a peaceful and relaxing stay at the beautiful shepherds hut for New Year! The Hut was perfectly decorated, clean and equipped with a log fire and everything we needed to relax! The hot tub was great – clear instructions and perfect to relax through the new year!
We would really recommend staying here, it’s perfect for couples, with excellent self catering facilities but also with great restaurants nearby in the villages!
