Sugar Craft Flower Workshop
Sunday 13th October 10am until 4pm
Join us at this fantastic workshop and learn to make incredible realistic sugar flowers to put onto your cakes. It is easier than it looks and guided by our Award Winning Cakemaker and tutor Sue, you will learn the techniques and tricks to achieve an outstanding realistic look to your sugared rose. If you fancy trying a new craft or advancing your skills this workshop is perfect to set you on your journey of sugar crafting.
What you will learn:
How to create a realistic-looking rose and rose leaves using sugar paste and edible colours.
How to wire and tape the rose and leaves to make an attractive spray.
This is the perfect workshop for all abilities. All tools, materials, 2 course lunch served with a glass of local wine are included. Nothing to bring, just yourself.
Outline of the morning
10.00 am Welcome with refreshments and meet your tutor Sue
Introduction to the world of Sugar Crafting
Demonstration on how to use the tools and techniques to use
Get hands on and start creating
11.15 am Refreshments break
Start painting your flowers and leaves
12.45 pm 2 course homemade lunch served with a glass of local wine
2.00pm Learn to how to wire your flower
3.00pm Refreshment break
Dusting and add the finishing touches to your beautiful creation
4.00pm Home time ready to show off your new sugar craft making skills
About your tutor Sue Shuttleworth
Sue Shuttleworth is an exceptionally talented tutor and Sugarcraft artist. Her patience, skill and dedication to her craft has seen her become an international award-winner in wedding cake designing and Sugarcraft artist. With over 35 years’ experience in the craft and accomplished a PME Masters Certificate in Sugarcraft, she has expanded into teaching to share her passion and love for the artform.
