Snow White and the Dwarfs (a pantomime by Eddie Lilley)
BOX OFFICE: 01949 860713
19.30-22.00 nightly
plus Saturday matinee performance 14.00-16.30
The Harby Harlequins are currently rehearsing for the production of Snow White and the Dwarfs (penned by writer/director Eddie Lilley). In their 21st consecutive year of pantomime, they bring humour, music, colour and warmth to this fairytale classic. As usual, the storyline does not conform to typical renditions of Snow White. Is Snow White really whiter than white? Will she find the Prince without kissing a frog? And how “Charming” will he be?
With five performances and Saturday evening giving the final curtain, the cast of 20 can unwind after three months of intense rehearsal. Complementing them will be the musical director and live five-piece band, wardrobe manager/team, scenery manager, audio and lighting engineers, stage management, choreographer, make up personnel, box office, bar and front of house. Production involves over 50 personnel.
Performances commence Wednesday 30th January through to Saturday 2nd February. Evening performances commence 7:30 pm, Saturday matinee 2 pm. Tickets on sale from Monday, January 7th (10am – 7pm) from JUDITH NEALE, tel: 01949 860713. Tickets: adults £8, children £4 (u/16). ALL Saturday evening seats charged at £8. Senior citizens free admission Wednesday evening (please book through box office). Licensed bar, tea, coffee, ice-cream.
The Harby Harlequins are acclaimed for presenting highly original scripts and slick performances with talented actors and musicians. Some past comments include:
