Morsbags Making Plus
4th Friday of each month. 11am to 1pm. Free
The Old Sorting House is very proud to have become a Morsbags Pod. We offer regular bag sewing sessions using donated fabrics. We also give out bags and look to work with other local businesses to give out bags too. Its all free of course and a great way to get together to do something positive about the use of plastic.
Morsbags was set up to encourage people to use original, recycled, washable, strong fabric bags that will last for years. Plastic bags have had a devastating impact on the environment and wildlife. For more info, to set up your own Pod or to download the fabric bag patterns for own use and to share visit Morsbags.org.
The Morsbags making sessions are also a great way to get together. They are free and we offer the use of our equipment and if needed expertise. We will also be using the sessions as an opportunity to make other items for charitable purposes. We aim to make hot water bottle covers for a project in Leicester and poppies to be sold in aid of the Royal British Legion.
Under present COVID restrictions we are limited to 12 people including Dian and Jane who will be there to get things going. To book please follow this link.
