Fused Glass Bowl Workshop
Sunday 15th September- 2pm until 5pm
We are pleased to welcome our fabulous tutor Katherine back to the estate and this time you have the chance to make your own beautiful glass fused bowl or dish. Working in our Craft barn you will be warm and snug, spend time relaxing and embracing something new, all in the beautiful surroundings of Nottinghamshires finest vineyard.
The workshop will introduce you to a variety of techniques and skills, learning to cut the glass and design your bowl. Katherine will guide you through each process step by step, giving you the opportunity to get hands-on with your glass creation.
Perfect for beginners or people with experience.
Outline of your afternoon
1.50pm Arrival with refreshments
2.00pm Welcome and meet your tutor Katherine.
Introduction to materials and glass.
Learn how to handle and cut glass.
Selection of base colours and decorative elements
3.15pm Refreshments
Cutting of glass and construct your pieces
5.00pm Finish and depart
Your unique piece will then be taken away by Katherine to be fired and ready for pick up or be posted to you (a small charge for postage) in 1 week’s time.
Please note – all materials to make 1 bowl or dish are provided along with refreshments and a snack. Nothing to remember to bring, just yourself, it couldn’t be easier! So book now.
About Katherine Wilson
A self employed designer and maker of traditional stained glass and contemporary glass pieces. Katherine prides herself on creating pieces that show the clarity and colour of glass, using simple shapes and bold colour combinations. Her focus is on creating functional pieces, which can be worn everyday or used in the home.
To ensure the quality of your personal experience, group size will be limited to 6.
