A very special night planned at the Geese and Fountain on Friday, April 5th, as we welcome some stars of the alt-folk scene to join us in celebrating our Vale of Belvoir CAMRA Pub Of The Year award for 2019.
Babar Luck
Former bassist of UK ska-core band King Prawn, Babar Luck has also recorded with numerous musicians including Suicide Bid & Ocarina, has also performed & recorded material with Sandra Falk, Captain Hotknives & Lu Edmonds and continues to create music with an array of players from all walks of life.
Babar Luck has also performed at many festivals of various ‘genres’ including Transmusicales Festival in France, Beautiful Days Festival in the UK & Denmark’s massive Roskilde Festival.
Pog
Pog is a folk punk collective from Brighton. For this tour they are performing as a violin, keyboards and guitar 3 piece, and will play songs from a back catalogue that spans 15 albums. Expect a mash up of folk, punk, indie and klezmer, all set to everyday vignettes.
Tim Holehouse
Tim has been on the road pretty much full time touring his music for over 10 years now, having toured almost every country in Europe, Iceland, Japan, Australia, USA and Canada (to name a few).
Tim mainly plays his own material, which comes from a variety of sources and inspirations from Punk, Hardcore, Blues, Jazz, Country blues, Experimental music, Heavy Metal and even Electronic music (good music is good music right?). Each of his albums has a different take and the music is very much written from the heart.
At 9pm the Vale of Belvoir CAMRA branch will present The Geese and Fountain with the 2019 VOB CAMRA Pub Of The Year award.
