About your tutor Laura Donaldson
Laura studied landscapes, weather and seasonal change with a strong emphasis on colour. Currently, she is painting with acrylics, but regularly produces work with oils, oil pastels and mixed media. Her love of the landscape and the ever-changing weather conditions are her starting point, developing her work through sketches that explore composition and colour. From here, she work to create vivid and stimulating final pieces. Much of her work shows the landscape around her, and often moves towards abstract representation.
Her studio is in the heart of the Leicestershire countryside and provides endless inspiration for her work.
