Beginner’s Digital Photography Workshop | Saturday 13th April 2018 | 10am – 3pm
Award-winning professional photographer and film-maker Chris England is back with us for another great workshop. He will be hosting a one day workshop focused on helping you capture striking photographs with any type of digital camera.
Working with a small group of beginners in a mixture of classroom and practical sessions around the vineyard estate, Chris will talk about the essentials of composition and demonstrate the core principles as he offers advice to improve your photography. All materials will be provided and the workshop includes a two-course homemade lunch served with local wine.
For best results we recommend you bring your own camera, but if you would prefer to borrow one for the day please let us know when you book. If you are able to bring the instruction manual for your camera, along with a tripod, even better, but no problem if this isn’t possible.
“There are some fantastic landscapes around Hanwell Wine Estate, perfect for beginners to put the principles of photography into practice,” says Chris, who runs a successful photography studio in Grantham. “We’ll spend time down at the lake where we can get some really stunning waterside pictures, as well as some great close up images of the natural environment and wild flowers around the vineyard. At the end of the workshop, you will have a collection of impressive digital images to take away and everyone will have a good understanding of photography basics such as lighting, the rule of thirds, lead in lines, depth of field and neutral space.”
