No Two Cycles
Based in Croxton Kerrial, No Two Cycles offers repair and servicing for all types of bicycles, including bike-fit, coaching and event support.
Cycle Servicing:
No Two Cycles is first and foremost a local workshop that takes pride in servicing and maintaining your bicycles; from the latest top-of-the range carbon racing bikes, to mountain bikes, e-bikes and those bikes we’ve all had in the back of the garage for far too long….they all deserve to be well maintained and enjoyed.
I offer various service levels for all styles of bikes. Road, Electric, MTB and BMX and tandems to name a few. I’m flexible too, so if your bike needs something a little more than the basic service, but not a full general service, we’ll work something out.
You can drop your bike off any time and depending upon how busy the workshop is, I’ll be able to give you a quick assessment there and then, followed up by a more thorough report once I start to work on your bike – feel free to give me a call to get your bike booked in for a quick turnaround.
Primarily workshop based, I can also offer a collection and drop-off service, or for smaller repairs and ‘quick fixes’, I’m happy to do those on-site if we can agree a suitable time.
Bike-Fitting:
Of course, there’s no point having a correctly working bike if you can’t get the most out of it, so as part of any service, or work carried out, I’ll always offer advice on bike fitment, from the basic ‘are you comfortable’, to a full bike-fit using a Wattbike and your own bicycle.
Workshop workshops:
The enjoyment of your bicycle doesn’t stop there; your bike works, you are sitting comfortably, but you’re on the road and puncture, or your gears skip. You may not know how to get the best out of your gears, or maybe you don’t feel comfortable descending… how do you best use your brakes? For any or all of those situations, I’d be happy to spend time with individuals or groups, either at my workshop, or with you, so you can feel confident out on the road.
Event Suport:
In addition to the workshop services, No Two Cycles also proudly provides technical support to cycling events, both at the event venue and with on-route support.
I’ve recently retired from a really rewarding, 30-year career in the Royal Air Force; throughout my career and indeed, life before that, adventure and endurance sports, especially cycling, have been a real theme.
From the early days as a teenager swapping my handlebars, or changing various components I’ve always been interested in bicycles, cycling and enjoying the great outdoors…and if I can help someone else do that too, all the better.
From fell-running and ultra-marathons, to UK Athletics coaching qualifications and Nordic cross-country skiing to mountain bike racing, cycle sportive and long-distance touring… I have a passion for being active.
As I competed less (just got older!), I wanted to remain involved in the sports I love; it was a natural step to undertake athletics and cycle coaching, and although no longer practicing, I hold a Professional Diploma in Sport Massage and Soft Tissue Therapy – it may not help me fix your bike, but with extensive knowledge of numerous endurance sports and the various cycling disciplines, combine that with an understanding the human body and postural assessment, not only will your bike be running well, but I can also help ensure it’s the correct fit and comfortable for you to enjoy.
No Two Cycles was established in early 2019 after formalising my skills with a Professional Level 3 Diploma in Cycle; the Level 3 Diploma is the highest attainable qualification in professional cycle maintenance in the country. The workshop is situated in the small Leicestershire village of Croxton Kerrial with the some fantastic cycling routes, both on and off-road, within a few pedal turns.
I look forward to seeing the business grow, either through the workshop – always a coffee on offer, or meeting fellow cyclists at some of the events I’ll be supporting.
