Naturescape was founded in 1978 by Brian and Elizabeth Scarborough and has grown over the years to become the largest producer of British native wildflower seeds in the United Kingdom and also one of the largest producers of wildflower plants in plugs and 9cm pots. The total area of seed production in 2016 was 200 acres with 45 acres of this being open to the public at our visitor centre.
The processes used in both our seed and plant production ensure that only quality products are offered. We have very specialised seed cleaning equipment to ensure all inert material, weed species and dust is removed and a pure sample is obtained. After cleaning, the seeds are labelled by year of harvest and placed in to our purpose built cold store at a temperature between 3 and 4 degrees Celsius to maintain high germination rates.
We were key suppliers to the 2012 London Olympic Games; supplying seeds, plug plants and larger 9cm pots in substantial quantities.
Naturescape have sold wildflowers in various forms for decades and have worked hard to maintain the quality of seeds, bulbs and plants that we produce and to ensure that our prices remain competitive.
We’re known for the level of service that we provide and, although the majority of our custom comes through our website, we pride ourselves on the fact that you can call us on 01949 860592 during our opening hours and speak to one of our friendly staff who will be happy to assist with any questions you may have and also provide recommendations.
Our company has been lucky to become one of the leading names across the UK when it comes to wildflowers and we feel that it’s our emphasis on service and customer care that have facilitated this.
