Mud & Miles Trail Running

I’m Rachel, a trail, fell and road running coach. My mission is to help you love running and to do it well. Whether you are an experienced runner looking to improve, a beginner wanting to get started, or someone wanting some adventure in your running life, I can help. I work across the area between Grantham, Nottingham and Lincoln. The Vale of Belvoir is one of my very favourite places to work and run, and you’ll often spot me there in my running shoes!
The services I offer include:
Guided trail running:
If you’d like to explore the local tracks and trails but don’t know where to go, or if you’d prefer to run with a group instead of alone, come and join a guided run. On Tuesday mornings and Wednesday evenings we run about 4 to 5 miles, all at a very relaxed and social pace – there’s no need to worry about being left behind. On occasional Sunday mornings we head out for a longer run of around 10 to 12 miles, again at a very social pace.
One-to-one coaching:
If you have entered a race and aren’t sure how to train, or if you simply want to improve your running but don’t know how, then one-to-one-coaching is for you. Whether it’s a bespoke training plan tailored to your goal, coupled with regular coaching feedback, or some face-to-face work on your running technique, I can help you get the most from your running.
Group coaching:
For those of you who prefer to work on your skills in a group, I coach occasional skills sessions for groups, with a focus on aspects of running such as ‘hill skills’. I also coach a weekly group in Newark for those who can run 5k but would like to improve.
Aqua running:
If you are injured and can’t run, aqua running is the perfect way to maintain running fitness without impacting your legs. My Monday evening class in Newark is fun but hard work!
Women’s only trail running weekends:
For those of you looking to combine running with a fun weekend away, my women’s only trail running weekends will appeal. This year we’ll be heading to Yorkshire, Norfolk, the Peak District and more for an action-packed couple of days.
Wherever you’d like your running to take you, I can help. Please take a look at my website for further information, including dates and how to book. If there’s something you’d like to know more about, or if you have any questions, please do email me on rachel@mudandmiles.co.uk or call me on 07821132547
