Manor Court can be found in the conservation village of Thorpe in the countryside south of Newark-on-Trent. London, Kings Cross being 1hr 20mins to Newark by rail.
The village is well placed with access to Newark’s wealth of facilities and attractions including the world famous International Antique Fair. Sherwood forest, Southwell Racecourse, Belvoir Castle, the Roman cities of Lincoln, Oakham and Stamford are all accessible within a short drive. Eden Hall, the ever popular health spa, is a mere two minutes drive.
If you don’t fancy venturing too far then simply relax and enjoy a tranquil boat trip followed by dinner at one of the many restaurants and bars on the banks of the river Trent.

A Little About Us…
I first came across the site which was to become Manor Court quite by accident, after taking a detour from my usual route on the A46. The site had a calming air about it, even today I’m still struck by its tranquil appeal.
My husband and I are both in possession on an unwavering desire to create. This is why you will find our influence of polished beauty around each and every corner of this gothic folly.
All of the guest rooms and suites at Manor Court are individually designed and come from inspiration of something as simple as a beautiful piece of fabric which spiralled into full interior visions and now, some 25 years later, has grown into a fine country house which has a rare beauty, elegance and mystery combined.
We now find ourselves flinging the doors open to private house parties, international guests and celebrities alike, all wishing for a peaceful retreat!
Our creative ideas continue to grow as plans are afoot to develop the garden room and our new honeymoon suite named Eden. So we can treat even more guests to a night of pure luxury and indulgence. Our aim is to ensure that our guests leave this boutique retreat feeling relaxed and thoroughly pampered.
We very much look forward to welcoming our new and returning guests to Manor Court and sharing this little piece of serene and totally romantic heaven.
