Yin Yoga class assisted by Meditation, Breath work and Guided Relaxation

Join us in discovering how Meditation and Breath work and longer held floor based Yoga postures can help you to soften your edges and move more deeply into a space of self care and connection within yourself.

    PAM SCOTT

Pam has been a student of yoga for over 30 years and decided several years ago to train to teach it to others after a busy career in school teaching. Throughout her career, Yoga, Meditation and Breath work were the tools she used to help her manage the fast pace, long hours and workload of the job and passing these skills on to the children and colleagues spurred her on to get trained so she could share these practices to help others in managing the stresses of busy jobs and lives.

She now specialises in the slower, more mindful practices of Yoga which are proven to be of huge benefit in calming the nervous system and assisting in optimum brain function in order to bring about greater balance and equilibrium.

She is a highly skilled and trained Body Energy worker in the fields of Kinesiology and Reiki and along with Breath work and Meditation she facilitates a deeper connection to yourself throughout your Yoga practice.

Hatha simply refers to the practice of physical yoga postures, meaning your Ashtanga, vinyasa, Iyengar and Power Yoga classes are all Hatha Yoga. … Hathapractices are designed to align and calm your body, mind, and spirit in preparation for meditation.

Vinyasa, also called flow because of the smooth way that the poses run together, is one of the most popular contemporary styles of yoga. It’s a broad classification that encompasses many different types of yoga, including Ashtanga and power yoga.

Power yoga is a general term used to describe a vigorous, fitness-based approach to vinyasa-style yoga. … Power yoga incorporates the athleticism of Ashtanga, including lots of vinyasas (series of poses done in sequence) but gives each teacher the flexibility to teach any poses in any order, making every class different.

The Vale of Belvoir is a vibrant and lively area with a wealth of events ranging from brilliantly organised sporting events to food fayres and long-established music festivals. We spend a lot of time searching for events in Melton Mowbray and the surrounding villages and receive many contributions from the community and event organisers. If you have an event in Melton Mowbray or the surrounding area that you know about or are involved in running, please let us know and we’ll include it. There’s no charge for this and we are happy to support local events.

Please contact us if you would like to include anything on the events page.

As well as the events happening in Newark, Melton & Grantham, the busier towns of Nottingham, Leicester and Derby are also within an easy drive. Check our Facebook & Twitter pages for the very latest news.

Make sure you also check out the list of the area’s main attractions listed here. From beautiful National Trust properties to the thrill of skydiving centres, there really is something for everyone. There’s also a wealth of great quality local accommodation if you’re planning a longer stay.
