Artist and printmaker Donna Drouin leads the monthly Wooden Spoon Print Club introducing students to the essential skills involved in various of print making techniques. The idea behind the Print club is to give you the essential skills and information so you can then do printmaking at home at your ‘kitchen table’ with minimal outlay.
Donna starts her club with two sessions that focus on lino printing. You will be given straight forward demonstrations and learn carving techniques and registration before moving onto multi block and reduction methods. You will be able to create a print for yourself using the provided equipment with information on how to easily set up and print at home.
Friday 22nd October 7.30pm – This is the Print Club’s second session and introduces reduction and registration techniques to print with two or three colours.
No drawing skills required but experience of the basics of lino cut and printing are needed. If you have not printed with Lino before, need a refresher or want to add to your skill set please also book onto Lino 1 – introduction on how to carve an image and produce a single colour print which takes place on Friday 24th September 7.30pm by clicking HERE
All materials will be provided but please wear old clothes or an apron to protect your clothing.
