The Noels Arms: ‘Machines’ 9pm
It’s not very often that we book a band in again so quickly, but if you caught these guys in August, we think you’ll understand why we’re so excited to have them back!
Join us for classic rock covers from this talented three piece, featuring the amazing Dave Mackintosh (Dragonforce) on the drums.
‘Machines’ is the name of the band formed by Don John Maxwell, Dave Mackintosh & Fletch Fletcher
Don plays a Fender V1 bass and takes on most of the lead vocals. He has had a very active career in music over the years, always bringing in strong harmony vocals and achieving huge success in the 70s & 80s with prog rock band “Canned Rock” (4 albums) and in more recent years with “Maxwell Hammer & Smith” band.
Dave Mackintosh, ex “DragonForce” drummer, has constantly toured the world with Dragon Force, and after 10 years, 5 albums and countless videos, has finally decided to slow down a little and get some normality back into his life. Dave also has a great vocal range which is essential for the close harmony work Machines incorporate into their show.
“Fletch” Fletcher is on guitars and vocals. Previously working as both session man and producer, Fletch has also worked in local Hertfordshire bands during his earlier years. His passion for sound and detail on guitar, and his vocal range bring a new dimension to the band’s sound.
Machines cover: Queen, Disturbed, Stereophonics, Manic Street Preachers, Rush, Metallica, Muse, Queens of the Stone Age, and The Who to name but a few. And RUSH!!!!!!!!!! THEY didn’t mention rUSH
Here’s a little 2112 by Rush, now, Any band that can do a little ‘Temples of Syrinx’ is worth a look in my book.
