Stathern Duathlon
Established, well-organised to raise funds for Stathern Primary School

A duathlon comprising 5k run, 18k cycle & 5k run…

The Stathern Duathlon was first held in 2012 and since our first event we have grown steadily from 40 entrants in our first race to 167 entries last year, with the aim of reaching our limit of 200 entries for 2018. Over this period, and thanks to all our competitors, volunteers and Sponsors, we have raised in excess of £11,000 which has been shared between our local primary school, funding local sporting activities and given directly to a chosen charity.

30k & 55k routes

25th Viking Challenge
Organised by Friends of Redmile Primary School
The legendary off road cycling event. Chose from either 30 or 55k routes. Open to everyone, young and old, teams and individuals, both serious and fun cyclists – and Vikings! The combination of the serious physical challenge with our warm hospitality has proven to be a winning formula; with riders and volunteers coming back year after year.

Taking in the fabulous Vale of Belvoir countryside riders have access to a route not usually accessible to the general public and with lots of well-stocked refueling stops along the way – our cakes are almost as famous as the challenge itself – it really is a unique cycling experience.
