Site Guidelines:

Hardstanding pitch for motorhome	Concrete pitch, with electric hook up via standard household 3 pin plug into outdoor socket. Located behind the barns. Only 2 motorhome pitches available each night. Up to 2 people and electric hook up are included in the Hardstanding Pitch Fee. For additional people please pay in addition the Adult Overnight Stay or Child Overnight Stay.
Grass pitch	Suitable for small motorhomes, tents & caravans. Available from May to September. No electrical hook up. On grass. For motorhomes and caravans we recommend a Hardstanding Pitch especially in Spring and Autumn. Book using the Adult Overnight Stay and Child Overnight Stay.
Tents	Please pay for the number of people rather than the number of tents. Please pay the appropriate Adult Overnight Stay and Child Overnight Stay.
Car Parking	Cars may be parked next to you on the grass.
Group Bookings	When booking online groups should reference names of other group members in the additional information box so you can be positioned together.
Wash and toilet Facilities	There are no shower or wash facilities. There are 2 unisex toilets with small hand wash basins. One toilet cubicle contains the disabled toilet and baby change table.
Special Requests	Let us know of any special requests such as a late arrival time (after 4pm), by completing the additional information box. If we have any queries, or cannot meet these requests, we will let you know.
Day Visitors	Day visitors are welcome but must leave by 9pm. The guest making the booking is responsible for ensuring that any day visitors observe the above regulation, along with our booking terms and conditions.
Barbeques	Not permitted
Open fires	No fires – no burning of wood or fire logs is permitted under any circumstances. No fireworks.
Noise curfew	Please no noise after 10.00pm
Wine sales	Usually available until 4pm, sometimes later if there is an event on. We are licensed to supply alcohol for consumption on and off the premises Monday to Sunday from 10am until midnight. We reserve the right to limit these hours. We operate “Challenge 25” so if you are lucky enough to look under 25 please bring proof of age. We will not serve those we deem to be intoxicated.
Drinking water	All taps are connected to the mains. We suggest you use those in the stable block and run the tap before taking drinking water.
Children	Children 4 or under may stay free of charge. The Child Overnight Stay Fee applies for all those 5-17 years old. 18+ year olds should pay the Adult Overnight Stay Fee All those 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult over 25 years old.
Safety	There is a deep-water lake at the South-Westerly end of the Vineyard. We recommend all children are accompanied near water. The lake is out of bounds from dusk to dawn. The vineyard has horizontal wires supporting the vines at about 90cms off the ground. Young children should be supervised as they tend not to see them. This is the Countryside, the ground is uneven, there are bees, wasps, nettles, thistles and more. Please take care. There are animal water troughs in the camping field, these contain water. Children must be supervised as there is a risk of drowning.
Emergency	In an emergency please call the Emergency Services by dialling 999. We are located: Hanwell Wine Estate, Hickling Pasture, LE14 3QG. There is a defibrillator at the bus stop, exit the estate by main entrance, turn right, it’s about 500m. Take a phone as you’ll need to speak to the Emergency Services to obtain a release code.
Litter	Please take all litter away when you depart.
Departure	By 12pm the next day.

Jeff and Linda purchased Janson Fishery in March 2017, after having run a successful Fishery in Derbyshire for a number of years.

Janson Fishery is a well established coarse/match fishing complex in Nottinghamshire. We have three match lakes available to book for club matches. We also run Open Matches throughout the year on a Tuesday and Thursday. From October onwards we hold regular Weekend Open Matches.

There are two pleasure lakes, Tomo’s a well established 30 year old lake, with a good head of carp some into double figures, plus barbel, tench, golden orfe, roach and rudd. Donut Pool is an oval lake with a central island at approx 10 meters, this is a mixed lake with plenty of silver fish and carp. Ide and Barbel up to 4lb and carp up to double figures. Our new match lake Aubreys is available to pleasure fish if there are no matches on, please enquire in the Tackle Shop if it is available.

There is a cafe onsite providing hot food and drinks, indoor and outside seating area, there are toilets onsite, we also have a Tackle Shop providing a wide range of supplies for carp and match fishing.

The match lakes regularly produce nets in excess of 100lb with the lake records on Match Pool of 489lb 5oz in August 2017, and on Munroes 404lb 12oz in September 2017. An impressive 261lb has been produced in Tomo’s during a charity match in May 2017.

NEW FOR MARCH 2019

Glamping Pods

We are very excited to announce new for Spring of 2019 is our development of 6 Glamping Pods. All of the pods will be situated overlooking our brand new lake, which will include carp, barbel, chub, ide, golden tench, crucians. The pods are suitable for two adults and will have a double bed, ensuite shower/toilet, kitchenette, with two burner hob, fridge, microwave oven & sink. All pots, pans, cutlery, crockery wil be included all you need to bring is your bedding, towels and supplies (bottom sheet provided). Two of the pods will be pet friendly with a fenced off area next to the pod.

The lake and site construction is well underway, with a provisional open date at the beginning of April. Also included in this area are 7 lakeside hardstanding touring caravan pitches which will include 2 fully serviced (water, TV point, and grey waste), in addition to the hardstanding pitches are four spacious tent pitches

The pods are fully equipped with all pots and pans, cutlery, glasses etc. All you will need to bring is your towells, duvet/pillows, (bottom sheet provided) & supplies.

The Pods have en-suite shower/toilet, kitchenette with two burner hob, sink, fridge and microwave oven, small double bed, sofa, TV, table & chairs.

Electric panel heaters & heated towel rail in the shower room.

Tomo’s Pool 18 peg Pleasure Lake

The original lake at the fishery established about 30 years ago. It has a large head of carp with several well into double figures, plus tench, orfe, rudd and roach.

Donut Pool 15 peg Pleasure Lake

(Ideal for Disabled Anglers)
An oval lake with a central island at approx. 10 meters. A very mixed lake with plenty of silver fish and carp. Carp into double figures, Ide and Barbel up to 4lb, Skimmer Bream, Roach and Rudd. Making it virtually impossible not to get a bite!

The Yurts…

Water Yurt

This is our first and cosiest Mongolian Yurt, situated closest to the facilities cabin. It comes with a King-sized, chunky wooden ottoman storage bed and a 2.5kw real feel electric fire. Wind Yurt

This is our Nomadic Yurt (a modern re-invention of the classic Mongolian yurt). It has a Super King-size handmade, chunky wooden mini four poster bed, a 30cm deep pillow pocketed mattress with a cloud topper and a 4.5kw wood burning stove. You’ll literally feel as though you slept in the clouds within our Wind Yurt.

Price show as per room includes the Super King-size bed.

Full Description

Our yurts are placed within a Seventeen Acre Meadow, overlooking a one hundred and six-acre family estate situated within the Vale of Belvoir, Nottinghamshire. We have created private, comfortable, spaces within each of our individually themed yurts ideal for a relaxing break away from normality.

We have created a yurt-site where the layout encourages a community feel, which includes a central communal fire pit and a beautiful Log Cabin which provides ample shared facilities. The log cabin is equipped with individual fridges and cupboard spaces, electric oven, microwave oven, kettle, toaster, cooking equipment, utensils, breakfast bar and a seated dining area. There are also two double shower rooms included within the Log Cabin just a few steps away from each of the yurts.

Our yurts at Meadow Vale are designed with king and super king-sized beds for couples, although as a family run business, we also welcome families.

The fire yurt comes with a very comfortable double futon sofa-bed which could easily sleep 1 or 2 children.Families please select the Fire Yurt and continue to payment page to add use of the sofa bed, or additional single bed or baby cot as required.

Due to high demand during the summer months (June to August) we require a two-night minimum stay.

Perfect for birthday parties and special occasions or holidaying with friends and family at Shepherd’s Lodge, we also have a lovely, covered summer house, the “Duck Inn”, for guests to use. Kitted out with a dining table & benches, comfortable seating, hammocks, swing chairs and, of course, a bar area with a fridge to keep your drinks cool. It really is a perfect place to relax, for entertaining and enjoying your favourite tipple around the lake.

There are also two stables on site, so our Shepherd hut guests are welcome to bring a horse if they wish and bike storage is also available for our cyclist guests. Stables and bike storage should be booked in advance if required.

All guests will receive a welcome pack on their arrival which contains tea, coffee, sugar, milk and orange juice. One bag of wood will be supplied for the log burner and one for the Hot Tub. Further bags can be purchased on site if required.

We had a peaceful and relaxing stay at the beautiful shepherds hut for New Year! The Hut was perfectly decorated, clean and equipped with a log fire and everything we needed to relax! The hot tub was great – clear instructions and perfect to relax through the new year!

We would really recommend staying here, it’s perfect for couples, with excellent self catering facilities but also with great restaurants nearby in the villages!

Features

The Shepherd hut site has been designed to ensure each hut has a unique view of the lake, whilst being landscaped to provide a designated private area for each hut.

Each hut has its own private entrance and patio area with BBQ and fire-pit for guests to enjoy. Most of the huts have an elevated terrace where views of the lakes, wildflower fields and countryside can be enjoyed.

A number of huts have beautiful wood fired hot tubs which are chemical free. These can be lit prior to arrival upon request. A starter pack of kiln dried logs is included for the hot tubs with subsequent kiln dried logs available to purchase from Fair Farm Hideaway. You will find a range and variety of appliances in each hut, with all Shepherd huts benefitting from a TV, microwave oven with grill, electric hob and full sized fridge. However, please view individual huts for exact details as some also contain a full sized electric oven.

The car park is a short walk from the Shepherd huts’ site to maintain the tranquility of the area. If you require assistance with your luggage this can be arranged.

Fair Farm Hideaway is an adult only site, with each Shepherd hut accommodating a maximum occupancy of 2 adults/Shepherd hut. There is a minimum two night stay for all Shepherd huts (3 night minimum stay over Bank holiday periods) . Check-in time is between 15.00-20.00 and check-out time is 6.00-10.30am.

Full Description

Third generation farming family, our working farm includes both livestock and arable in Waltham on the Wolds and the surrounding area.

South Devon and Aberdeen Angus cows and calves graze the rich Leicestershire pasture on the farm, and, keen to preserve some of the old pasture and wild flower species, we have harvested some of these species and have incorporated this seed around the Shepherd huts for you all to enjoy.

We also grow arable crops and in the summer months you may see family members busily working in the distant fields. By growing our own cereal crops we are able to select the best feed for our cattle from ‘home grown crops’ when they are not grazing our pasture.

Animal welfare is paramount and we have recently purchased a cattle handling system, supported by Leader Funding to safeguard everyone working on the farm and increase the welfare of the animals.

Features

We have two BBQ huts that offer a more glamourous aspect to camping, with their own internal BBQ pits for heating and cooking. Also a double pull-out day bed for a more cosy nights’ sleep. In addition there are two sleeping areas for children or teenagers on our benches which pull out to make a single bunk.

The BBQ huts offer the perfect accommodation for the more adventurous type, but without the hassle of camping in traditional tents, and the pitfalls of the English unpredictable weather. They offer the perfect base to explore both land and wildlife and are nestled in the orchards so ideal for the fruit picking season.

The internal BBQ pit offers a roaring fire on the most chilly of evenings and also enables you to cook scrumptious meals and hot chocolate before bedtime. During the summer months, an external BBQ is available. The BBQ huts have electricity and include a Freeview TV/DVD, kettle and small fridge.

Also on site are two pretty shepherd’s huts with log burning stove, electricity, tv’s & radio. Both have lake views, bbq, outside seating and are set up for self catering.

£60 per night Sun-Thurs, 2 night minimum stay (includes fishing throughout your stay)

Shepherds Huts

Should wives or girlfriends wish to join in we have two shepherds huts which offer more comfy and glamourous overnight accommodation.

Our huts offer a double bed, 2 lovely armchairs for relaxing, which have a view of the lake, along with log-burning stove for heating and cooking. There is no electric in the huts but we provide lanterns and other lighting equipment, cool boxes and charging banks for phones.

For the summer evenings we provide a bistro set with external BBQ.

Camping

For the traditionalist, we can offer a limited amount of pitches for camping (no electric hook-ups), but full access to the shower and toilet block on site. No hook-ups avaialable at this time.

Campervans also welcome, however, we cannot accept caravans
Fishing is an additional £5 pp/day

Toilets / Showers / Wash up Area

The toilet and shower block are a short walk away from all accommodation. There is also a pot wash area to wash your cooking items and to recharge lanterns, torches and mobiles. There is a shared fridge for perishable food and a drinking water tap for your water requirements.

Fishing

The fishing lake is fully stocked with Carp (Mirror, Ghost, Koi, Grass and Common) Chubb, Roach, Tench and Rudd.

The lake is approx. 1 acre in size and is approx. 8ft deep in places, with two small islands in the middle.

Fishing is offered on a day ticket and/or overnight fishing. Bivvies only around the lake for overnight fishing and no guests unless previously agreed with management. Eco toilet on site for day fishing use.

Toilets on site for day fishing use. Car Park on site, currently no bait shop on site.
