Christmas Music from English Tradition with carols and revels, poetry and tales here Wednesday 28 November at 7.30pm. A costume performance with early & modern instruments. THE LEAVES OF LIFE explores some of the beliefs and superstitions that surround midwinter festivities, drawing on seasonal ballads and folk carols as well as West Gallery carols and village dance music.

In this Christmas show, The Mellstock Band combine the symbolism of trees, tales of shepherds and their sheep, winter-time feasting and strange visitations.
