Join us and create your own landscape oil painting in a day. Local artist Sara Penrose will guide you step-by-step, demonstrating and explaining the tools and materials, composition, colour mixing and various techniques for creating your very own landscape painting.

English landscapes can be complex enough to provide some challenges but also simple enough to enable a fun and relaxing day. Sara will show you how a picture can be dissected into several layers and how to build them up into your own work of art!

After booking, you don’t need to do any preparation. All the necessary tools and materials will be ready for you, including a pre-stretched canvas.

Sara will paint alongside you as well as giving you one to one advice and tips. You will be able to take your ready-to-hang canvas home with you the very same day.

With local food and wine for lunch, can you imagine a more perfect day in the English countryside?

Timings for the Day

9.20am Arrival – for Tea, Coffee and light refreshments. Please arrive in good time for the start of your experience and to orient yourself before your day of creativity begins.

9.30am – Start your experience

Mid- morning – Tea, Coffee and light refreshments

Lunch – A delicious homemade 2 course lunch will be served accompanied with a glass of local wine. Lunch break times vary in accordance to the workshop requirements. A stroll around the vineyard to stretch your legs.

Mid – afternoon – Tea, Coffee and light refreshments

4pm Departure – at which time you will be able to take away your creation.

To ensure the quality of your personal experience, group size will be limited to 10.
