Melton parkrun is turning 4 years old. We have recently had two of our biggest turnouts in our event’s history, yet we still haven’t toppled the staggering 262 that we got way back at event number 1! About time that record fell??? For this year’s events we are having a battle of the bands showdown.

The broadest category that there has ever been in a battle of the bands contest. Whether it’s the mullets of Wham!, the tartan of the Bay City Rollers, the glasses of Elton, the sparkles of Abba, the make up of KISS, the Stetson of Lemmy, the amazingness of Take That before the traitor left, the Union Jack dress (enough said), the tongue in cheek humour of McBusted or the manufactured purity of Little Mix or One Direction, we want to see your very best band get-up!

Band t-shirts are a must and anything over and above is purely optional, but heavily applauded. There are also a few volunteer credits up for grabs if anyone can provide cake!!
