The Crown: Crownfest: ‘Adrian Kerr’, ‘Jonny Trash’, ‘Project Pete’, ‘Eddy Hall’, ‘Dan McColgan’ 2pm
‘Adrian Kerr’
Folk musician Adrian is also the created of the amazing folk festival which runs Twice a year in Melton as well as Melton Folk Club which meets on Wednesdays at the Crown.
‘Jonny Trash’
The Brilliant ‘Jonny Trash’! He works hard every year to bring you this blistering festival at The Crown. Here he is in Festive mood! I couldn’t bring you his festive smash hit “Up The Bum For Xmas” because as we know, that’s only once a Year! Right?
‘Project Pete’ (Debut Gig anywhere!)
Project Pete is the love-child of Jason Sargent (Euphony, Shine, Bad Medicine UK) and myself Gig Guide Pete Wilkinson (RiffTrade and also stripped and sang as Security Guard Dave Butakinski inTTMC Production of the Full Monty). Why Project Pete? It’s the name the folder Jason used for the Project. Singing songs with a twist, up numbers, and good songs that folks don’t do but they are great songs! Come down at 5pm it will be sunny so join us in the Yarden.
‘Eddy Hall’
‘Dan Mccolgan’
The Boat: ‘Ray and Rich” (Ray Callcut and Rich Hewson) 3pm
Two thirds of ‘Revolver’ and two of the nicest guys in town to boot, make very rare appearance together at the Boat on Easter Sunday. Playing classic covers from bands from the 60,s 70,s and 80’s including, 10cc, Beatles , the Police, to name a few!
The Grapes: Ska, Motown, Soul; Music 4pm
The Noels Arms: ‘The Peas’ 4pm
‘The Peas’, a Duo, no rules, the wrong chords but the right melody……and Kazoo’s….!
The Peas enjoy playing classic songs from the 80’s and 90’s, but as they have no access to the tools to recreate the songs with a Full Band they have just cracked on with what’s to hand and so playing them as they were originally written doesn’t apply here. With Double Bass, Acoustic Guitar and a Bass Drum. ‘The Peas’ recreate their own interpretation with added Vocal Harmony, Mouth Trumpets, Beatboxing, Melodica and Bickering….. You haven’t heard anything until you’ve heard “The Final Countdown” done with a tongue firmly in cheek and with a bit of a swing by this pair.
I have a few Vids of these guys, I love them! I can’t beat the humour of their painstakingly made shot for shot videos for “Never Going to Give you Up” and this one “Rio”
