Sooooo, hello again!!!!
Last time we played at The Genny, it was nothing short of triumphantly gorgeous!!!
You all know what to do… arrange a babysitter, rendezvous with friends, liaise with workmates, congregate with family or fly solo and come on down. New hits, big firm plump hits, nice times and cuddles a plenty from all the band. THAT IS A PICTO PROMISE.
This Saturday ‘Picto Mexico’ are back!!! And you should all come to the Genny B to join in the fun says Singer Shaun. They’re all ready to put on a show! Expect treats a plenty, and bags and bags of new songs, so that’s’ loads! Expect the usual laughs and banter and most importantly a jolly good time. Come catch this fun, diverse, devilishly handsome and energetic band who smash hits May 2011 called them ‘really, not all that bad’. Don’t forget! free hugs!
The Noels Arms: ‘Lil Roosters Big Band’ 9.30pm
A very welcome return to The Noel Arms this Saturday with the legendary Horace Panter of The Specials fame playing with us! Also we have the awesomeness of Jim Widdop on Steel and the insatiable beats of Ben Topley on drums! One not to be missed!!
‘Hazel Scott’ They say the best things come in small packages, Hazel is proof of this! Her Guitar playing is formidable and solid as a rock, but her voice that’s what really sets her apart from the crowd.
All fired up to be back at The Noel’s for a Big Band Rocking good time this Saturday! Me Ben and Chris very excited to have the majestic Horace Panter of The Specials on Bass with us again and the dazzling Jim Widdop on Steel! Don’t miss us! H
The Grapes: ‘Cover’d In Punk’ 10pm (Debut)
Initially I couldn’t find too much on these lads. All I could say was that they have a fantastic sense of Humour, and here’s proof. A shot for shot, Tongue firmly in cheek Queen Video of “Don’t stop me now” it’s so uncanny it’s like watching the Movie ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’……….nearly! (apart from its not shot for shot, but its well worth a watch its brill).
From the Band:
“Cover’d In Punk (who went with the apostrophe on a graphic design basis because it looked cooler in that font) first came to life back in 2009 as Chris (vocals) was inspired by New Found Glory’s cover album “From The Screen To Your Stereo” wondering why there were no bands that exclusively did that kind of thing.
With a desire to play the Pop songs his dad liked, in the rock style that he liked, he set out to find like- minded people to join him in that quest, unbeknownst it would take almost 7 years to do so. Fast forward to 2016 the band were finally gig ready with enough songs to cover 3-4 hour shows with songs ranging from Rio by Duran Duran, through Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clapton to Love Machine by Girls Aloud. Nobody feels alienated at a CIP show, there really is something for everyone.”
And here! here is the quote right here
“We just love taking your favourite songs from the radio and destroying them for our own entertainment”
